Job Summary

HMDT Music seeks a Saturday Programme Operations Manager in Hackney to run on-the-day logistics, safety & admin for our vibrant musical learning environment. Ideal for a proactive, organized individual passionate about community music education!

Job Description

As the operational heart of our Saturday programmes, you will ensure our vibrant learning environment is safe, organised, and running like clockwork. In this highly active, hands-on role, you will oversee the physical setup of spaces, coordinate with the venue's facilities team, and manage all on-the-day logistics alongside our team of assistants. From maintaining strict safeguarding and first-aid standards to managing last-minute schedule changes, tutor absences, and room adjustments, your quick thinking and calm under pressure skills will keep our Saturdays stress-free. Working closely with the Senior Manager and CEO, you will also handle essential administrative duties on the day such as register management and equipment oversight to ensure the site is fully prepared for success each week.

Alongside the logistics, you will serve as the welcoming, organised face of the Saturday Programme, fostering a supportive community for our tutors, students, and families. You will act as a key point of contact on site, leading weekly tutor meetings, welcoming guest artists, resolving parent queries, and ensuring venue guidelines are smoothly respected. Whether you are helping a student track down a forgotten instrument, or overseeing the tuck shop's weekly operations, your exceptional interpersonal skills will keep our community happy and connected. This is an ideal role for a proactive, collaborative musician with experience in music education and administration who thrives in a bustling, community-focused environment.
