The role holder will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of scenic construction elements for the School's public theatre productions, primarily based at the School's scenic workshop at Sheene Road in Bedminster, with input at other relevant locations as required. This includes planning and managing the realisation of scenery designs, fabricating scenic elements, and maintaining the workshops to a high standard. Equipped with extensive knowledge of current theatre industry practices, high-level scenic construction skills and excellent interpersonal abilities, you will play a crucial role in training and supervising students in scenic construction techniques and aspects of stagecraft. You will work closely with the Technical Courses Leader to assess students' competency and ensure the delivery of high-quality scenic elements for productions. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with a flexible approach to working, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.
