Description
The Production Family is looking for an ambitious and driven scenic project manager to work across a variety of projects, spanning from events and theatre to immersive experiences and other large-scale projects, both commercial and non-commercial. The role leads all the workshop projects.
This will be a permanent full-time position, initially a full-time six-month contract with the expectation to continue with the right candidate.
The role includes significant growth and development opportunities to grow the workshop and develop as the business continues to expand.
Standard working hours are 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience. They will need to be driven and hardworking.

- Broad knowledge & experience across all set and scenic practices. Practical professional experience building theatre and events sets preferably with a relevant theatre qualification.
- Communication skills to ensure effective interactions at all levels across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
- Good I.T literacy, including the Microsoft office suite, particularly in Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Sketchup and AutoCAD.
- Ability to learn, interpret, understand and explain technical plans and diagrams - and have proficiency in CAD, preferably generation of production, construction and working drawings with 3D visualisations.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and maintain focus of the work to be carried out.
- Excellent time management skills
Job Responsibilities
- Manage scenic projects from concept through completion, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to high specifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate all aspects of scenic production.
- Oversee the translation of creative concepts into detailed scenic plans and construction drawings using CAD Software, including technical drawing of scenic elements to a fabrication level.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation using Microsoft Office tools and internal software.
- Conduct site surveys and attend client meetings, both virtually and on-site as needed.
- Oversee load-in/load-out schedules, on-site installation, and quality control of scenic elements.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, providing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Ensure all scenic elements adhere to safety standards and regulations.
