Seeking a Technical Stage Manager for 'Burn Baby Burn: LA Inferno' UK Tour, Slackline Productions

The ideal candidate is focused with a proven track record of adapting to performance spaces with varying technical set-ups and can confidently operate cue-heavy shows.

Duties include attending R&D and rehearsals, managing the prompt book and QLab file, helping with load-ins/load-outs, programming lights using different softwares and consoles (including ETC Eos and Zero 88 FLX) and operating light, sound and projection during tech rehearsals and shows as well as liaising with Erin, the writer/performer, and panellists on show days.

Touring accommodation involves sharing a twin room with Erin, the female writer/performer. While we require a primary TSM based in London with full availability across all dates, we are also building a secondary database of local back-up technicians for specific tour venues in case of emergencies. This is a freelance role. Expected working hours are 4 hours per half day/rehearsal day (exact dates/timings TBC) and 8 hours per full day/show day (14:00 - 22:00).

TBC: Harrogate Playhouse, Royal Theatre Bath Ustinov Studio, Traverse Theatre Edinburgh and Old Fire Station Oxford plus a possible 1-week run at Upstairs at the Gatehouse.

FEES:

R&D & Rehearsals
£150 per full day or £75 per half day (3.5 days split into half days across Autumn, plus 1 half-day pick-up rehearsal in Spring)

Tour
£170 per day for 10 shows (6 dates confirmed, 4 dates TBC)
£675 for a 1-week run at Upstairs at the Gatehouse (Run not guaranteed, dates TBC)

Expenses
Travel Days: £85 per day (3 days total)
Per Diem (w overnights): £36 per day
Per Diem (w/o overnights): £26 per day (excluding London shows)
