We are a writing duo based in London and for the past year we have been developing the pilot episode for an adult animated sitcom based on Greek mythology called The Other Heroes. It's a funny, heartfelt, nicely unhinged story with lots of memorable characters and twists on the Greek Myth; think Rick and Morty meshed together with Jason and The Argonauts. The Teaser We are looking for someone to help us create a 1-2-minute teaser for our pilot so that we can present The Other Heroes in beautiful animation, the way it was meant to be seen! The teaser will be a short scene from the episode that will hopefully work to engage an audience and generate some buzz for the show. It will also serve us well as a selling tool to pitch the project to producers and studios who might be interested in commissioning the show as a full series. Obviously, we are inspired by the animated sitcoms that have gone before; Rick and Morty, BoJack Horseman, The Simpsons, etc. That being said, we are always excited about trying something new and weird if it works for the story we're trying to tell. We want The Other Heroes to have an impact, so if you have an approach to animation that's a bit different or out-there, we'd love to hear more about it! Renumeration The hours needed to complete this job will depend on the working pace of the artist employed and how long they estimate it will take them to complete the job. We are offering a flat-rate of £800 for this project. A background in animation is vital for this project! However, what we're really looking for is someone who is open to collaboration, passionate about their craft, and excited to bring something new to the adult animated sitcom. Your main responsibility will be to animate the 1-2 minute teaser scene. We will provide you with the storyboards, character designs, and sound design for the scene we want to animate, as well as anything else we can provide that will allow you to do your job to the best of your ability. We are no experts in animation - far from it. Ideally, this will be a working relationship where we can learn from you and defer to your expertise in animation.
