This project aims to promote the health and wellbeing of local residents through a period of regular engagement in organised creative health and wellbeing activities, and to allow residents the opportunity to gain new skills, connect with their community and pursue creative outlets. Delivering this programme will offer Buckinghamshire residents the opportunity and space to connect with other people from the community, learn or practice a new skill and come together in a community-based venue. We are looking for practitioners to prepare and deliver one workshop (of a duration up to 2 hours), within the project timeline (26th September - 28th November), focusing on a particular creative activity (examples including (but not limited to): textiles, print-making, zine-making, singing for health, scrapbooking, yoga, crochet, painting, Dancing with Dementia). Workshop dates/times: Within the limits of the project budget, we are able to fund 2h of workshop preparation time, as well as the 2h workshop delivery at a rate of £50p/h for a total of £200 per workshop. The cost of session materials has also been taken into account for the project budget and this can be discussed with facilitators for each workshop. The booked space at the BCW Hub differs for some of the workshop dates and this will be taken into account in terms of the space needed for respective workshop activities. This project is a collaboration between BCW Hub, Buckinghamshire Culture and Buckinghamshire Health and Social Care Academy (BHSCA), supported by funding from the Aylesbury Community Board. Facilitators must be able to travel to Aylesbury (HP21 7QG) and must be available during one of the times mentioned in the description above.
