About the role
- To support the Service Manager in the comprehensive and robust delivery of the Arts and Culture service as it develops. This involves overseeing, coordinating, and implementing key programmes identified as part of the soon to be published five-year Culture Strategy.
- To lead and deliver key borough wide arts and culture programmes such as the Borough of Culture Cultural Impact Award Light and Flight Festival.
- To work with the public sector grants manager on key cultural funding applications, manage a culture fund that will be dispensed to external arts and cultural organisations. To work with internal teams to champion the role of arts and culture as well as key service areas such as public health, regeneration and sports and leisure.
- To support the administration, co-ordination, financial and project management of key arts and culture projects and programmes including monitoring and evaluation.
- To work with Ward Councillors to brief them where appropriate on programmes of work.
