The Sussex Archaeological Society runs a variety of heritage sites across Sussex. We are looking for a Senior Finance Officer, who has demonstrable experience of working in a busy finance office, double entry book-keeping, awareness of accounting procedures and demonstrable experience in managing finance ledgers In this role, you will be responsible for the production of monthly management information and support staff across the organisation to manage their budgets and follow financial procedures and controls. This will include ensuring that supplier payments are processed and that balance sheet reconciliations are completed regularly. You will need excellent excel skills and be competent in the use of other Microsoft packages such as outlook and word. In addition, we are looking for excellent communication skills, the ability to work on your own initiative and the ability to follow financial procedures.
