Job Description

This is a rare opportunity to take on a senior role with real scope to shape the future of music education across the region. You will be part of a supportive leadership team in a dynamic music education charity, working to ensure that all children and young people across Kent and Medway have access to high-quality, inclusive musical experiences - in and beyond the classroom.

If you're an experienced music education leader with a passion for creative curriculum development, teacher support and championing young people's musical journeys, we would love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As Senior Leader, Music Hub, you will lead the development and delivery of several of our core programmes, including school support, whole-class instrumental tuition (MusicPlus), singing strategy, CPD, and a live performance offer for schools.

You'll work in close partnership with schools, senior leaders and education providers to design impactful training, consultancy and performance opportunities. You will also oversee data gathering and evaluation, contribute to Arts Council England reporting, and support a dedicated delivery team to ensure our offer remains inclusive, responsive and high-quality.

You will facilitate collaboration through the Lead Schools Advisory Group and play a key role in developing a county-wide Singing Strategy aligned to local needs and national priorities. This is a hands-on role with both strategic influence and practical impact and is ideal for someone who wants to make a lasting difference to music education in Kent and Medway.

Why join Kent Music?

Kent Music is a dynamic, forward-thinking charity and the Hub Lead Organisation for Kent & Medway.

As part of our team, you will:
