The Senior Producer will work as part of the Nonsuch Studios team, with a leadership role of Nonsuch's delivery of Ashfield Creates. The role is responsible to the Artistic Director & CEO, working closely alongside the Executive Director. The role will play a critical role in driving forward our delivery of Ashfield Creates, our largest community programme to date, leading on developing innovative and meaningful creative programming in line with funded planning outlines, key areas of stakeholder management, project planning and delivery and management of the wider delivery team.

Job Title: Senior Producer

Reports to: Artistic Director & CEO

Salary: £33,000 (£26,400 pro-rata)

Place of Work: Nonsuch Studios' Offices in Nottingham City Centre & Kirkby in Ashfield and across engagement locations in Ashfield District and Nottinghamshire.

Working Hours: 4 days per week (30hours)

Contract Type: This is an employed role fixed term contract to the end of March 2027 with the view to extend subject to funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • To senior produce the Ashfield Creates programme.
  • Work closely at all stages of planning with a broad range of stakeholders, from Commissioning lead (Ashfield District Council), to community organisations, leaders and artists working across the region; convening and developing networks, artist support and access programmes.
  • Manage, inspire and support the Ashfield Creates team to deliver exceptional projects and programmes, managing the work of the Local Engagement Producers, Administrators, Freelancers and ad hoc support teams.
  • To collaborate with the Senior Management Team in key strategic thinking across all of Nonsuch's programmes
  • Manage key programme budgets and ensure value for money and quality across activity and operations.
  • To work with the Executive Director to ensure that the Monitoring and Evaluation strategy for Ashfield Creates is maintained and reporting completed as needed.

  • Experienced in leading people and projects, particularly in the arts, cultural and creative sector, with at least 5 years experience of working in the sector.
  • A strong and confident leader and line manager who's aware of the needs of others, genuinely listens, tackles issues before they grow and is able to build consensus to implement positive change.
  • Able to demonstrate high level experience and expertise in community engagement practices, centering co-production of activity to support and embed community voices in programmes and upskilling new and emerging talent and ideas.
