Core responsibilities Programme Eden Court's Live Performance strand, supported by the rest of the Live Performance team Proactively seek out work that meets Eden Court's programme structure and objectives Build strong relationships with visiting companies to secure the best work for the venue Manage the Live Performance team, encouraging collaboration, inclusive decision-making and team development Ensure efficient and effective programming administration processes from first visiting company correspondence through to post-show evaluation Negotiate deals and contracts to secure the best outcome for Eden Court (highvalue deals will be approved by the Head of Live Performance + Producing and/or Chief Executive) Head of Live Performance + Producing Senior Programmer Programme + Revenue Manager Artist + Company Liaison Manager Stage Door Receptionist + Assistants Live Performance + CEO Coordinator 10 Work closely with the Programme + Revenue Manager and Head of Live Performance + Producing to set and manage annual income targets Work closely with the Marketing + Communication team regarding programming choices, having early conversations so they can guide and advise on sales expectations Forecast sales targets in consultation with the Programme + Revenue Manager and Marketing + Communication team Collaborate with the Technical team to ensure that they have the information they need and that the programme considers their team's capacity Attend performances of work across the Highlands, Scotland and wider UK Provide support to artists who are applying for funding, such as providing letters of support Support the Head of Live Performance + Producing in delivering key producing projects for Eden Court, such as co-productions and other partnerships Person specification Experience of programming a diverse live performance programme, ideally within a venue Knowledge of, and networks in, the performing arts sector in the UK Budget management skills with the ability to forecast and monitor targets Advocacy and negotiation skills Strong administrative and coordination skills, with a keen eye for detail Experience of line management Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive internal and external working relationships A collaborative working style and ability to manage, motivate and develop a team Appreciation of the multi-artform nature of the Eden Court programme Ability to contribute to an open, supportive and creative working environment A belief in the power of theatre to have a positive impact on people and society If you feel that you fulfil the core criteria for the role of Senior Programmer, want to be part of an ambitious creative team and would like to live and work in the Highlands, we would like to hear from you.
