As a Senior Researcher, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-value, transformative audience strategy work for our clients across the world. You’ll develop relationships, manage projects, and design and deliver brilliant research and insight as part of multi-talented teams.

Job Description

Location: Manchester (Hybrid working - minimum of 2 days based in the office)

Salary: £28,001 - 32,000 per annum

Working Pattern: Flexible working, role can be full time (35 hours per week) or part time.

Here's a snapshot of what you'll do:

Account and project management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients as a trusted partner.
  • Manage a number of complex consultancy and insight projects, coordinating project teams and schedules to deliver transformative work on time and profitably.
  • Be a point of liaison between the project team and the client, communicating plans effectively and clearly, and ensuring client understanding and satisfaction.
  • Work flexibly to adapt to changes in project scope or client needs, using resources creatively and tackling problems with a solutions-focused mindset.

Consultancy and audience insight

  • Design approaches, including qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools, to solve client problems.
  • Run high-value primary quantitative and qualitative research, including facilitating primary qualitative research and managing recruitment and fieldwork as needed.
  • Lead analysis, collaborating with colleagues and clients to develop transformative insights, strategies and actions.
  • Produce high-quality client deliverables (decks, workshops, reports), communicating compelling stories in ways that inspire change.
  • Support the development of skills within the business, aiding the development of junior colleagues

Growing relationships

  • Build connections across our sectors with potential new clients.
  • Work with clients to explore their needs and devise potential ways we could help.
  • Work with colleagues to scope and cost potential new work, including preparing proposals and pitches.
  • Working with colleagues, pitching new projects and solutions to clients, helping to win exciting new work.
  • Identify opportunities for new work based on industry trends and challenges.

Job Requirements

You'll be the right person for this job if:

  • You have a proven track record in designing and conducting large scale multi-method qualitative and quantitative research

  • You have a flair for identifying salient issues and insights in data and reporting them in an engaging and inspiring manner.

  • You are able to work across multiple projects and prioritise work according to competing deadlines.

  • You are a natural collaborator who can manage and inspire colleagues at all levels of the business.

  • You're a pragmatic problem solver, and are tenacious in getting things done.

  • You are excited to work in a fast-paced agency environment.

  • You have great communication skills (verbal and written) and can engage various audiences with complex issues.

  • You know how to build relationships with clients and can maintain connections long term

  • You have a commercial mindset, with an appetite to get involved in generating new business.
