Description

Job Summary

Shooting Days: Three consecutive days in the week of Mon 27 October - Sat 1 November. We are looking for an all Muslim crew for this film to represent those in front of the camera.

Job Description

We are looking for a Muslim skilled and resourceful Lighting Director/Gaffer to shape the film's naturalistic aesthetic. This is a character-driven comedy with direct-to-camera monologues dispersed between ensemble chaos scenes. The role involves working closely with the DoP and Director to design and execute lighting setups efficiently within a short indie production. Please let us know what gear you have or else if you can source / have access to it.

The film is set inside a naturalistic home at a sleepover in Ramadan. The story mirrors the way young people document their own lives, combining direct-to-camera monologues with mobile phone footage and a real-time ensemble climax. Each girl recounts the night's events from her own perspective in retrospective vlogs, intercut with phone-recorded cutaways that bring their stories to life. The film culminates in a final, real-time scene, shifting away from retrospective footage to immerse the audience fully in the moment.

Shooting Days:

Three consecutive days in the week of Mon 27 October - Sat 1 November

Fee: £900 (£300 per day for 3 days)
