Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring, passionate teacher to lead our Singing classes for children aged 7-14yrs.

Job Description

As a Singing teacher you will be required to plan and run Singing lessons for children aged 7-14yrs. You will ensure lessons are well planned and suitable for the age group, with fun warm ups, games and class content. You will ensure the space is safe for your students and that every student is valued.

Classes take place at Enfield County Lower School, EN2 0SP on Saturday Mornings. Our Spring Term is running from January 10th - March 28th - you must be available for all these dates. Classes run from 10am-1pm.

Pay is ÂŁ25+ an hour, depending on experience.

Job Requirements

- You must be enthusiastic, engaging, & positive

-You must have a love for teaching children

-You must have a/some qualifications in Performing Arts

-You must have an enhanced DBS (on the update service) or be willing to obtain one

Job Responsibilities

As a Singing Teacher you will lead a classes of children aged 7-8, 9-11 and 12-14yrs in Singing. Each class is an hour long and must be tailored to the students age and interests. The children must be suitably challenged whilst also building their confidence and honing their technique.

Each year we run 3 different terms:

-A show term where the class teacher and assistant put together a show (with a storyline) for parents to watch at the end of term.

-A presentation term where the class teacher and assistant put together a presentation of a song, a dance and a piece of drama for the parents to see.

-A technique term where we focus on different themes/genres and confidence building activities. The class teacher is required to complete a report on each student detailing how they are progressing in our class
