We're hiring a Social Media Manager to join the team at Parker Harris and The Art Ladder. Parker Harris is an arts consultancy with over 35 years' experience running some of the UK's leading art prizes and open exhibitions. The Art Ladder is our online mentoring programme for artists, launched in 2024 and now supporting over 1,000 artists across the UK and beyond. This is a full-time, employed role based in London (with home working), paying £28,000 per year. Start date: 1 August 2026. You'll take ownership of social media across both Parker Harris and The Art Ladder, working closely with our Communications Manager and Head of Communications. Day-to-day, that means writing, creating and scheduling posts across Instagram, Facebook and YouTube; managing community engagement; monitoring performance; and turning raw session clips from The Art Ladder into short-form content ready to publish. You'll keep each brand's voice distinct while finding smart cross-promotion opportunities between the two. You'll also support wider marketing tasks including email scheduling, press release distribution, and analytics reporting. You'll have at least two years of social media management experience and a genuine background in or passion for contemporary art. You understand what performs on each platform, have a strong visual eye, and care about getting the details right. Proficiency with tools like Canva, Later, Descript or CapCut is a plus. How to Apply: Full details at theartladder.com/hiring-social-media We're looking for someone with at least 2 years of social media experience across posts, Reels, carousels, scheduling, analytics and community management. A background in contemporary art is essential - you need to understand the world of artists to communicate about our work effectively. You have a sharp eye for detail, catch your own mistakes, and know when something feels off-brand. You understand what performs on each platform and can balance visual quality with genuine engagement. Proficiency with tools like Canva, Descript, CapCut, Later or Hootsuite is expected. You must have the right to work in the UK and be London-based, with the ability to attend exhibition private views, filmings and team meetings in person. You'll take ownership of social media across Parker Harris (Instagram, Facebook) and The Art Ladder (Instagram, YouTube), writing, creating and scheduling posts, responding to comments and DMs, and monitoring performance across both. You'll produce short-form content - Reels, carousels, static posts - tailored to each audience, and convert clips from The Art Ladder sessions into publish-ready social posts. You'll find cross-promotion opportunities between the two brands while keeping each channel's voice distinct. Beyond social, you'll schedule emails, upload and distribute press releases, contact universities and partners about open calls, and track analytics for client reporting. You'll join weekly team meetings and monthly cross-platform planning sessions.
