Description

Job Summary

Makewith is currently in its startup phase of development, working alongside Theatre Deli, the EasternCity BID and about to pitch to the AldgateConnect and Cheapside BIDs too. By April the company would have tripled its customer growth with an even faster development of community.

Job Description

We run free creative workshops for local workers, residents and visitors to the square mile, MakeWith has every intention of being revolutionary in its practice, focusing on wealth distribution in its funding strategy and developing safe, free, third spaces for the masses of people that need it.

This role is for someone to grow long term within the company, starting off as a freelance social media manager and photographer alongside the workshops facilitator/producer of the project: creating exciting and engaging posts on all social media platforms they feel relevant for the company growth and development.

We are looking for someone talented, friendly, warm, and engaging to help grow community and to help spread the word and build a following for this project.

Job Requirements

- Must have a camera, microphone and a creative background, copy writing ability is helpful too.

- Must be DBS checked

- Ideal to have experience in building social media platforms from scratch, a keen eye for aesthetics and a clear vision for developing an organic following.

- Must be friendly and for the cause

- Must be interested in being with this project long term.

Job Responsibilities

- Developing a social media strategy and delivering it flawlessly and regularly.

- Being a part of the creative workshops being run by taking pictures and videos but also being a welcoming and warm presence to participants who might be nervous.

- Being on time for workshops and flexible for finishing times.

- Being able to turn out good quality content, confident in being able to help build collaborative relationships with other companies or influencers.

How to Apply

Send us an email with your CV and a short cover letter explaining who you are, what you do, and why this job is of interest. Please be aware, this project has a lot of potential… but also a lot of work needs to be done to reach it. We are looking forward to expanding the team with people who are deeply passionate about community, angry about free community spaces being shut down and frustrated at how inaccessible privatised third spaces are.

You will be working between 3-15 hours a week and paid £150 per day.

The role will evolve into more regular and consistent hours.

Everyone in the team is paid freelance, you must have a UTR number.

Deadline is 5pm on 6th April 2026
