Job Description

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual who will utilise innovative digital strategies to develop our social media presence and engagement across all platforms.

Working closely with our Marketing Manager and the wider team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our mission by effectively communicating our initiatives and connecting with our community of supporters, participants, and partners through our social media platforms. You will be expected to stay at the forefront of social media trends and developments and to play a pivotal role in enhancing our social media presence.

Contract: 0.5FTE Part-Time, Permanent

Salary: £14,000 (£28,000 FTE)

Location: This position is home-based (within the UK) with a requirement to join monthly full team meetings in London and meet with the Marketing Manager in person as required for the role. You will also be asked to attend Benedetti Foundation events, wherever possible across the UK (all expenses incurred for travel in this role will be reimbursed).

Job Requirements

The Social Media Officer will work closely with the Marketing Manager and wider Benedetti Foundation team to:

  • Support and develop the Foundation's social media presence across all platforms
  • Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the organisation's goals and values
  • Attend the Foundation's events, capturing activity and lead on the creation of relevant and engaging content
  • Be a proactive, self-motivated and supportive member of the Foundation team

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities of the Social Media Officer are:

  • Create engaging, relevant and high-quality content for our social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Develop the Foundation's presence on TikTok
  • Manage the organisation's social media accounts including posting updates, responding to comments and messages, and fostering community engagement
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels
  • Monitor social media analytics and track key performance metrics to measure the success of campaigns and initiatives
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in social media marketing and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Assist with live event coverage and promotion on social media platforms
  • Support other marketing and communications initiatives as required
