Box Clever are looking for a part-time, freelance social media strategist.

Job Description

Box Clever is an established, highly regarded and professional theatre company dedicated to the creation of contemporary theatre for young people.

We are looking for a part-time, freelance social media strategist.

The role involves maintaining an online presence for Box Clever on various social media platforms - namely Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. The position may also require visiting rehearsal and performance venues, collating and editing media content, responding to public enquiries, as well as liaising with the company's administrative staff for marketing purposes.

Fee: £14 per hour for 4.5 hours per week for 42 weeks a year (school term-time)

Place of work:
The management of Box Clever is carried out virtually with the core management working remotely. The work to be undertaken at the individual's preferred location is done so on the proviso that regular contact is made with the Artistic Director and the core management team. You are asked to take part in regular marketing meetings.

Job Requirements

We are looking for:

  • Someone confident in creating short-form content like reels/videos (Capcut, Final Cut Pro etc)
  • Experience/Familiarity with social media trends and their interfaces
  • A high level of writing ability/creativity
  • Adaptability/Flexibility to meet the various demands of the Box Clever social media according to busy periods in the company

Job Responsibilities

The role involves:

  • Maintaining an online presence for Box Clever on various social media platforms - namely Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok
  • Visiting rehearsal and performance venues to create content
  • Collating and editing media content
  • Responding to public enquiries through social media platforms
  • Liaising with the company's administrative staff for marketing purposes.
  • Attending regular team meetings (virtual)
