We are looking for a creative, digitally savvy and audience-focused social media professional with a passion for engaging young people and an enthusiasm for film, screen culture and emerging talent.

Job Description

Work closely with the Social Media Lead to develop and implement our BFI Film Academy social media content strategy, set and drive the KPIs around BFI Film Academy social media content and regularly review and track analysis to evolve plans accordingly.

Work with the Digital Marketing and BFI Film Academy Teams to film, edit and deliver engaging and innovative social first content for young audiences interested in exploring Film and Screen Industry careers that raises brand awareness and deepens engagement.

Work directly with young people (16-25-year-olds), creating content and contacting them through social media, email and or phone.

Manage the BFI Film Academy social media channels, defining our tone of voice and proactively nurturing an engaged and creative community across platforms.

Cultivate and implement BFI Film Academy engagement strategy, responding to audience queries and actively driving engagement through community management.

Work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager (Industry & Audiences) and the Digital Marketing Team to produce compelling social media content related to BFI Film Academy programmes and activity.

Job Requirements

Demonstrable experience of creating unique and engaging social first content for a brand or individual account with a significant following/engagement.

Proven experience creating, filming, editing and publishing engaging social first content, with strong knowledge of current content and publication trends, formats and best practice for reaching young audiences, with particular emphasis on Instagram and TikTok.

Proven knowledge of wider platforms that under 25-year-olds regularly engage with.

Proven experience of the production of social media assets, ranging from technical production to social video production.

Experience using editing software such as Photoshop and Premiere Pro, as well as in-app editing tools.

Experience using social media analytics and reporting tools, such as Sprout Social, to monitor performance, evaluate success against KPIs and use insights to inform content and campaign decisions.
