This role involves delivering the technical operation of a one-night touring theatrical production. The successful applicant will carry out ETC relights, complete sound checks, and operate sound and lighting during live performances. Our productions are fully automated via QLab, and operators are expected to confidently run, monitor, and troubleshoot the show throughout each performance. Note: Shared self-driving is preferred for this role. A company vehicle will be provided where required. Fee: We estimate the total value of this contract to be £6,395.57, based on approximately 34 days of work. Performances are primarily scheduled Thursday to Sunday, though this may vary from week to week. Average working hours are expected to fall between 30-35 hours per week, depending on the touring schedule and operational requirements. Applicants must meet the following criteria: Extensive experience operating QLab for automated theatrical productions Strong working knowledge of ETC lighting consoles, including relights and live operation Confidence operating Allen & Heath digital mixing consoles in a live performance environment Previous experience working on touring theatre productions Availability for sporadic touring dates between January-March 2026 Willingness to participate in shared driving where required Carry out ETC relights at each venue Perform sound checks and system line-ups Operate sound and lighting for live performances Monitor and manage QLab-driven automation during shows Maintain a professional, flexible, and can-do attitude when working with cast, crew, and venues For consideration, submit your CV and a cover letter to [email protected].
