ROLE: Freelance Specialist Trauma Case Manager for Creative Professional CONTRACT LENGTH: Temporary contract with immediate start through to the end of May 2026. Following assessment of the role's efficacy, this post is to be reviewed with regards to indefinite extension. RATE OF PAY: £30 per hour. This is a self-employed role as 'Support Worker' paid for by Access To Work. Payment occurs monthly following invoicing to Access To Work. HOURS: up to 8hrs per week. WORKING HOURS: Flexible to the Creative Professionals needs. Regular afternoon/evening check-in time required with the Creative Professional. The Creative Professional doesn't work in the mornings, so meetings and dialogues in the afternoon are necessary. Some evenings/weekend check-ins may be required. REPORTS TO: The Creative Professional. KEY RELATIONSHIPS: The Creative Professional via regular meetings and the Creative Access Manager (fellow support worker team member). PROBATIONARY: 1-week. PLACE OF WORK: Remote working with online meetings. Experience/perspectives desired: - Trauma-informed - Awareness of nervous system - Awareness of disability - Awareness of neurodiversity - Awareness of barriers faced by those in marginalised communities - Empathy informed decision-making - Understanding of somatic healing practices - Understanding of health system barriers - Strong advocacy skills The Specialist Trauma Case Manager will: - Track the whole picture of what the Creative Professional needs in terms of health. - Anticipate needs, being as intuitive and proactive with those needs. - Adjust support in real-time. - Advocate across the board (not just for funding). - Giving the Creative Professional a buffer from the world, so healing can happen. This translates not just in any individual area, but in every layer that health touches, such as: - Medical advocacy (e.g. tracking appointments, drafting letters, requesting adjustments) - Executive function support (e.g. initiative to action tasks) - Somatic pacing (e.g. noticing dips, adapting expectations or plans accordingly) - Emotional buffering (e.g. shielding from systems that re-traumatise) - Narrative care (e.g. remembering key pieces so that the Creative Professional is not re-teaching or holding everything) See Job Pack for details.Job Summary
