Description

Job Summary

Seeking a Stage Manager for "Singin' In The Rain," a musical based on the classic Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film.

Job Description

Andrew Wright's high-energy choreography with additional choreography by Jaye Elster and Simon Higlett's sumptuous set design (including over 14,000 litres of water on stage every night) combine with the charm, romance and wit of one of the world's best-loved films. "Singin' in the Rain" features the MGM score including Good Morning, Make 'em Laugh, Moses Supposes and the legendary Singin' in the Rain. Directed by Jonathan Church. The Stage Manager will have oversight and be responsible for the smooth running of performances throughout the tour.

This is a remount of the production that previously played in the West End and has toured to Canada, Dubai and China. We will be rehearsing in London, then opening the show at the Sheffield Crucible and running from 26 November 2026 until 16 January 2027. The show will be managed in Sheffield by their in-house Stage Management team and there will therefore be one week of handover to this role in Sheffield during the final week of the run there.
The show will then tour to 21 venues across the UK and Ireland between January - September 2027, dates below. The tour is managed by Jonathan Church Theatre Productions. The touring company will be supported by a Company Manager. The Stage Management team will consist of Stage Manager (this role), Deputy Stage Manager, and Assistant Stage Managers. The touring company will also consist of full cast and musicians, technical and production team across all departments, including some team members focusing on the move between locations. In total around 60 UK team members will be involved in the tour.
