The project is a musical showcase style, which we call a "Variety Show". It will be comprised of medleys of shows performed by all of the third-year musical theatre students. Rehearsals will take place at Italia Conti studios in Woking. Performances will be held at the Rhoda McGaw Theatre (300 seats) in Woking. Rehearsal Period: 26/10/26 - 8/11/26 (5 Day weeks) Fee: £2,720.00 All rates of pay are inclusive of travel and preparatory and supporting work. The Fee does not include breaks which are unpaid. Tech/Performances: 9/11/26 - 22/11/26 (6 Day weeks)
During Production Weeks, where days and hours are typically longer, two hour-long breaks are factored into the schedule to allow ample rest-breaks.Job Requirements
- Experience Stage Managing musical theatre shows of a similar scale (Large Cast).
- Experience working with student casts and professional production teams
- Adaptability and flexibility when working in dynamic environments
- Confidence responding to live operational issues and making decisions under pressure.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety within a live performance or events environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating theatre performances involving multiple performers and performance spaces.
- Strong understanding of stage management, backstage operations, show calling and performance scheduling.
- Experience communicating with casts and production teams and reporting on incidents.
