To provide Production & Technical support to all YTR Youth Theatre productions, working closely with the Head of Youth Theatre & Heads of all production departments. To attend production meetings and pro-actively facilitate all production requirements for shows. To provide Production & Technical support for all events, meetings, presentations, workshops or other activities, working closely with the relevant members of YTR staff. To rig, focus & plot lighting, sound & AV equipment to a high standard following departmental policies & procedures. To confidently work at height using a variety of access equipment. To run all Studio get-ins & get-outs including setting up staging and scenery. To mix sound as required for shows. This will include a mixture of analogue & digital sound desks. To operate lighting and AV as required for shows. Helping to source and construct props and LX practicals for YTR Youth Theatre productions and events. To create lighting or sound designs for YTR Studio productions as required. Maintaining YTR Studio equipment, including retractable seating bank. Painting Studio stage to designs when required. Assisting with PAT testing of Theatre electrical equipment. To be responsible for submitting the PRS returns for all Studio shows. Contributing to the good housekeeping of the Studio and associated spaces. Maintaining effective working relationships with Creative Teams, departmental staff, colleagues and line managers. Maintaining good standards of work, contributing to the department's safe, efficient, economic and high-quality performance. Adhering to the Theatre's Health and Safety Policy and relevant current legislation. Person Specification Essential Experience of working in a producing theatre within a Production team Good all round knowledge of theatre practice including stage,lighting and sound Knowledge of programming the ETC EOS family lighting desks Knowledge of sound and AV equipment and practice Experience of live sound mixing and Olab programming Enthusiastic/ energetic personality The ability to work well independently with initiative The ability to work accurately under pressure The ability to think creatively Experience of working with young people Computer literacy Ability to read and interpret rig plans Ability to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays Experience of working with a range of creative teams Good practical making skills Knowledge of current Health & Safety legis Desirable Knowledge of touring theatre A full, clean driving licence Terms and Conditions Hours: Annualised at 2080 per annum, worked flexibility to meet the needs of the theatre. Regular evening and weekend work will be required. Salary: £30,857.00 per annum paid monthly. This is a 'buy out' contract.
