Providing comprehensive support for a disabled Creative working predominantly in TV and Film.

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated, reliable Support Worker to assist a disabled Actor, Filmmaker and Access Consultant in achieving their goals by removing barriers and enhancing productivity.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable both following instructions and using initiative. We are looking for a quick learner with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.

The role is primarily based in East London, with some travel across London. During productions, occasional travel outside of London may be required, with travel and accommodation (including a private room) provided if necessary. Some remote work (e.g. note-taking, diary management) may also be required.

Candidates must be available at least 3 days per week (averaging around at least 24 hours per week) with good flexible availability throughout the month.

Job Requirements

  • Proven care experience
  • At least 1 year's professional experience providing administrative support
  • Must be a licensed driver with a clean, working vehicle that can accommodate a small foldable wheelchair
  • Self-employed and eligible to work in the UK
  • London-based, within easy reach of East London
  • Must own an iPhone (required) and MacBook (preferred) to ensure compatibility with Apple-based workflows
  • Able to assist in women's changing rooms
  • Entertainment industry experience preferred; passion for TV and film beneficial
  • Flexible availability for irregular hours, including some evenings and weekends

Job Responsibilities

  • Travel buddy (transport and parking coordination/driving)
  • Coping strategies support (e.g. grounding techniques, mindfulness)
  • Mobility assistance and symptom management
  • Support with time management, organisation, and schedules
  • Equipment setup and creative support for auditions
  • Facilitating access to events and venues
  • Prompting for medication, food, meetings, calls, etc.
  • Support with ad hoc errands
