This role works closely with the Deputy General Director and their managers on a routine and strategic level. An administrative role supporting departments such as Technical, Facilities, Health & Safety and IT with planning, reviewing and analysing both data and operational tasks.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANT Committed to producing high quality work that informs, excites and entertains, Opera North is looking for an experienced and well-motivated individual to fill the role of Technical Assistant. The successful candidate will have proven administrative experience. You will have excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise under pressure.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: Educated to A-level or equivalent Experience / skills required: Detailed knowledge and experience working with Excel, Teams and other Microsoft programs is essential. Ability to learn, and grasp quickly, a wide range of scheduling and software programs. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality, and operate with tact and discretion. Experience of national and international travel and accommodation booking. Experience in note taking and arranging meetings. Functional/ leadership competencies: Ability to work as an individual and also part of a team. Must take initiative and possess the ability to plan and prioritise own workload.

Job Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities: Working with heads of department in creating, reviewing and updating operational documentation. Responsible for maintaining electronic documentation in a structured and controlled manner. Collating documentation for key projects in a timely manner. Provide data analysis on both routine and ad hoc basis. Research into future organisational focus areas. Departmental and project scheduling. Arranging meetings, making sure any required facilities and technology are in place to ensure they run smoothly. Admin tasks as requested by the Deputy General Director as requested, such as expenses. Manage the Deputy General Directors diary and travel. Arrange national and international travel for Deputy General Director, with supporting itineraries, ensuring all relevant documentation is provided ahead of time. Ensure all documents and correspondence are professionally and accurately presented, in a timely manner
