Description

Job Summary

The Redgrave Theatre is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Technical Manager to oversee and develop the technical provision of the Redgrave Theatre and Clifton College’s Performing Arts offering.

Job Description

As well as delivering technical expertise to ensure all commercial and academic Performing Arts events run efficiently, the Technical Manager will provide excellent leadership and develop a growing team of technical staff, alongside providing support and mentorship to Clifton College students and staff. The Technical Manager will also play an important role in the future planning of developing the Redgrave Theatre as a multidisciplinary arts space.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience across all aspects of the technical department, with a strong bias towards one or more distinct disciplines (Lighting, Sound, Stage). You will be an ambassador for the Redgrave Theatre and Clifton College, and be responsible for the technical department, your team and the cohesion with the College.

This is an exciting time to join the theatre and Clifton College as we build on the continued success of the Redgrave Theatre in establishing itself as a leading commercial venue in the heart of Bristol. The venue acts not only as a platform for creative expression, entertainment and cultural enrichment, but is also used as a community and educational resource to inspire future generations of theatre makers. The Performing Arts programme at Clifton College has been put at the forefront of development, and in recruiting a new Director of Performing Arts, there is a renewed commitment to developing the provision.

This is a full time, permanent position starting in February 2025
