Overview:

A new role has opened within the production department for a Technical Production Lead, reporting to the Head of Production and working under supervision of the Creative Technology Lead. This is an exciting and diverse role within a leading events company based in Brislington. Bakehouse Factory creates memorable, award-winning interactive events from concept to delivery, with set design & fabrication, costume creation, casting & script writing, film & photography and project & event management all taking place under one roof.

We are looking for a highly organized and technically skilled individual to work on the planning and execution of technical production on our many exciting projects. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a good understanding of sound, lighting, electronics and wiring alongside budgeting, planning and scheduling. The role takes its workflow from the production manager and must be able to work to deadlines and within set budgets. The role will include site specific work including installation of set as well as on call work to solve onsite technical issues.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Production tasks:

  • Costing, budgeting, quotes, purchasing and budget tracking
  • Scheduling and staffing
  • Equipment set up and programming
  • Integration of tech into set pieces
  • Problem solving build issues cross departmentally
  • Producing of how to guides and instruction manuals
  • Picking and packing for events

General department management:

  • Stock management / cataloguing and stock taking
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Management of returned tech

Event Management:

  • Training and troubleshooting
  • Setting up site use tech such as ticketing equipment, card readers and tablets
  • On call troubleshooting for live events
  • Where appropriate contribute to onsite electrics layout, set up and sign off

Onsite:

  • Site visit
  • Installs
