We are seeking to recruit 3 part-time Theatre Technicians to support the delivery of the venue's professional and amateur programme of performances, workshops, and events. The role provides the opportunity to work at one of the most popular arts centres in the North-West, with a varied cultural offer. The programme will be focused at the Atkinson in Southport, but on occasion may extend throughout Sefton to ensure that opportunities for cultural engagement are delivered across the Borough.

Job Requirements

We are looking for an individual with appropriate knowledge and experience of working in a technical capacity within a theatre and multi-venue arts environment. You will be able to operate theatre control systems (lighting, sound and stage machinery), including the set-up and operation of AV equipment.

Job Responsibilities

You will be committed to providing a high standard of technical support so that the Atkinson maintains its status as an excellent regional venue for arts, heritage, literature, and information. You will be expected to work directly with members of professional and amateur performing companies, supporting them in a calm and courteous manner. You will be able to assume stage manager responsibilities when required, and implement relevant Health & Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
