Job Summary

Razzamataz Theatre Schools Sheffield are currently seeking a Performing Arts Trainee Teacher to join our thriving team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a natural affinity with children, a passion for the performing arts and a desire to develop their teaching skills within a fun, nurturing and creative environment. You will be enthusiastic, energetic and keen to inspire the next generation of performers.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about musical theatre and commercial performing arts and would like to gain experience and training in delivering high-quality performing arts sessions to children and young people. You do not need previous teaching experience, as full training and support will be provided. We are looking for someone who is creative, reliable, organised and enthusiastic, with a genuine desire to work with children and develop their own skills as a performing arts teacher. You should be able to bring energy and enthusiasm to classes and be willing to learn how to deliver engaging sessions across dance, drama and singing.

About Razzamataz
We are an award-winning theatre school providing high-quality performing arts training in dance, drama and singing, across both musical theatre and commercial styles, to children aged 2-18 years. We aim to develop children's confidence whilst they learn new skills, make new friends and have fun in a safe and secure environment.

Our Saturday school runs from 8.55am-4.30pm at Meadowhead School, Dyche Lane, Sheffield, S8 8BR. The hours for this trainee position will be 9.00am-11.00am on Saturdays during term time, with the possibility of additional hours in the future. Pay is between £13-£25 per hour depending on experience.

The role includes, but is not limited to:
Working as part of a team delivering high-quality performing arts training
Shadowing and learning from experienced teachers
Supporting engaging, creative dance, drama and singing classes

Bringing energy, creativity and enthusiasm to every session
Demonstrating a natural affinity with children and a passion for teaching and the Performing Arts
Being willing to learn, develop and respond positively to feedback as part of your training
