Job Summary

Seeking children comedy actors/presenters to expand a Northern and Midlands team. A willingness to travel is preferred. Puppeteering skills useful. If you are available over the Summer mini tours may be possible, but individual dates are possible too.

Job Description

We are looking for someone physically fit and strong to puppeteer our T.rex puppets and large dinosaurs; a fun friendly personality who loves dinosaurs and theatre to join our team of large actors.

Based in the South of England but you may required to travel UK-Wide.

We are looking for people who may have stage combat, mascot suit skills, animation movement experience, or creature acting experience. Strong, fit and good stamina are desirable. We have one person puppets and two person puppets. To puppeteer our T.rex and larger 2-person puppets you have to be between the heights of 5'7 and 6'2. Production also have riding dinosaurs and smaller arm-held dinosaurs that anyone can try. There will be opportunities to be a presenter as well as the more you can do the more work we can give you and we have a very busy year ahead so could give you lots of work. If you have a driving licence and a car please let production know, this isn't necessary for the job but it certainly helps when planning logistics. If you can/have experience driving a van as this can also be useful.

If successful we will send more information about our in person auditions.
You may be required to share a room with the same sex.

A minimum of 1 day a week during peak seasons, up to 3 or 4 days some weeks.

Guaranteed expected working hours is 8 hours with regular breaks per day. £120 per day.

Job Requirements

Required to operate small scale arm held puppets and large scale T.rex types puppets.You may be required to share a room with the same sex.

To engage with young children in a friendly manner, providing a sense of fun!

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for engaging audiences and providing professional puppeteering skills.
