Consultant sought to evaluate Us & Them, Freewheelers' NLHF-funded disability history project. Requires expertise with community groups, co-produced heritage projects, impact evaluation, and reporting to shape future cultural work. We are seeking a consultant with significant experience of evaluating co-produced cultural or heritage projects, particularly with community groups and vulnerable people. You should be skilled in designing accessible evaluation frameworks, and in collecting both quantitative and qualitative data. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to engage regularly with participants and project partners. You will have a proven track record of producing clear, impactful evaluation reports that combine robust evidence with compelling insights and recommendations. Familiarity with NLHF investment principles and accessible reporting is desirable. The consultant will design and deliver an evaluation framework for Us & Them, a disability history project. Responsibilities include engaging regularly with project managers, partners and participants; gathering quantitative and qualitative evidence in accessible ways; and assessing the impact of all project elements, including co-production, workshops, exhibitions, publications, film, oral histories, events and website. You will provide ongoing feedback throughout the 20-month project to support learning and adaptation. At the conclusion, you will produce two final reports: one accessible and engaging for participants and the public, and one detailed, rigorous evaluation suitable for NLHF, heritage bodies and academic contexts. Both will highlight outcomes, learning and recommendations to shape Freewheelers' future work and contribute to sector knowledge.
