Every year, Frieze Masters fair welcomes approximately 130 exhibitors, with specialisations spanning Antiquity to the 20th century. The fair is fully vetted by committees of experts, who attend the fair before it opens to the public to review artwork attributions, quality, and provenance information. The Vetting Coordinator acts as the central point of contact, liaising between the various stakeholders involved in the process, before and during the fair.

This role is expected to start at the end of June and work with Frieze until the end of November 2026. Initially the role will work part time, three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) progressing to full time in late August. Please note that, due to the nature of the fair, travel and weekend work may be required during the fair period.

Job Requirements

Comfortable and competent in client-facing role
Able to work under pressure with excellent time-management skills
Excellent communication skills
Professional and diplomatic
Strong administrative skills
Interest in and knowledge of art history and terminology across a variety of disciplines, from ancient to modern art
Prior knowledge of vetting in art fair context is desirable

Job Responsibilities

To be the point of contact between Frieze, the Vetting Committee and exhibitors
Ensuring exhibitors adhere to the vetting criteria, guidelines and procedures
Understand the specialisms of each of the members of the vetting committee and the concerns relevant
to each committee
Answer gallery and Vetting Committee questions and maintain strong communication with all parties
involved.
Compile pre-vetting submissions, sort by relevant committee and share with the Art Loss Register and
committee members for their feedback
Review pre-vetting submissions for works outside of the guidelines and flag as required
Ensure all travel and accommodation is arranged for the vetting committee
Collect and process feedback from the vetting committees and liaise with exhibitors. Keep track of any
action points and escalate as needed.
Co-ordinate subsequent vetting
Organise vetting day training for the vetting scribes
Track vetting budget
