Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Artist Workshop Leader to deliver engaging, creative workshops as part of our Southwark Summer Programme.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for practising artists, creatives, and arts educators who are passionate about working with children and young people. Successful applicants will design and facilitate inspiring, inclusive sessions that encourage creativity, self-expression, collaboration, and confidence-building.

Job Requirements

Essential Requirements
Experience leading arts-based workshops with children and/or young people.
Strong communication and facilitation skills.
A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
Desirable
Experience working within community arts, youth, or cultural programmes.
Skills in visual arts, digital arts, mixed media, crafts, performance, or multidisciplinary practice.
Knowledge of the Southwark community and local cultural landscape.

Plan and deliver high-quality creative workshops for children and young people.
Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Adapt activities to suit a range of ages, abilities, and interests.
Work collaboratively with programme staff and other creative practitioners.
Support participants in developing their artistic skills and confidence.
