Job Summary

Kenny Wax Ltd is one of the leading Production Companies operating in the West End and on Tour. We are looking for an experienced Wardrobe Assistant to join our team in London for the premiere of this new Mischief play. Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Job Description

Salary: £675 per week, at 40 hours per week plus applicable Sunday performance payments

Contract: Fixed Term SOLT/BECTU Contract

Contract Dates: ASAP - 7th September 2025

Show schedule: Performances are 6 days per week, typically Tuesday - Sunday. The performance schedule during previews varies and shall be confirmed at point of contract.

Holiday: As per the SOLT/BECTU Agreement (32 days per full calendar year). There will be a holiday embargo across this contract and any accrued holiday shall be paid out at the end of contract.

Performance Location: Noel Coward Theatre, St Martin's Lane, London WC2N 4AU

Job Requirements

Personal attributes: We are looking for applicants with demonstrable professional experience working as a Wardrobe Assistant. The role requires someone who has exceptional sewing skills, strong communication and organisational skills, can keep calm under pressure and has a positive, flexible and proactive attitude.

Job Responsibilities

  • To uphold the high production standards set by the Costume Designer and maintain the artistic quality of the original design, as directed by the Head of Wardrobe;
  • To support the Head of Wardrobe and Deputy Head of Wardrobe to clean and launder all costumes in the manner and frequency required to maintain the appearance of the costumes, including co-ordinating dry cleaning;
  • To perform a show dressing plot - undertaking costume changes (including quick changes) during the performance as required;
  • To assist with the maintenance of the costumes on the production under the instruction of the Head of Wardrobe and in liaison with the Deputy Head of Wardrobe;
  • Replenishing, ordering, maintaining and repairing costume wardrobe stock under the guidance of the Head of Wardrobe and Deputy Head of Wardrobe;
  • To carry out running repairs on costumes as required
