Role Overview: Job Title: Wardrobe Assistant  Salary: £15.24 per hour with £50 subs for every day worked  Start Date: 2nd November (London), 7th November (Manchester) End Date: 24th December or 15th January. Contract Type: Seasonal  Location: Lapland UK Live Site, London and Manchester 40+ hours pw
Interviews:
- First interviews will be with the Wardrobe Managers of both locations. These will be in person, group interviews in both Slough and Manchester. This will last approximately 2 hours. Interviews in Slough will be 14th - 16th July and Interviews in Manchester will be 21st - 23rd July. Please specify which date and location you would like to attend in your application.
- Second interviews will be on Teams with the Costume Manager and Supervisor, these will last approximately 15 mins.
Key Responsibilities:
- To dress performers precisely and compassionately.
- To assist in identifying and conducting necessary maintenance in a timely manner to keep all costumes in good condition during the show dates. Making sure to keep a detailed log of any repairs, and notify the Supervisors or Manager of any concerns.
- To closely follow systems to ensure costumes are laundered, cleaned and refreshed between shows.
- To develop an exceptional knowledge of the costumes and the costume standards.
- To complete all set up and closing duties necessary for the department to run seamlessly.
- To follow cast lists in order to set the costumes for each day of shows.
- To maintain and develop existing systems used for the smooth running of every shift/ show.
- To work closely alongside the Supervisor on duty to ensure full support to cast including costume distribution, dressing, changes, returns and cleaning.
- To effectively communicate running and handover notes to Supervisors and Wardrobe Assistants.

- Proven experience in live theatre
- Knowledge of Costume maintenance techniques
- Experience Laundering Costumes
Required Experience:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Costume.
Desirable Skills:
- Proven experience on a live show.
- Laundry experience.
- Costume making experience.
