Wigs Technician - Dirty Dancing UK and Ireland Tour, New Road Theatricals

The Wig, Hair and Make Up team will be expected to work with the Wig and Hair Supervisor to ensure that the hair, makeup and wigs requirements are maintained to the standards of the production. Duties will include the repair and maintenance of all wigs during rehearsals and the performance run and any dressing responsibilities during performances, supporting quick changes and organisation backstage, and participating in the wig get in and get out, to ensure that the hair, wig and make up requirements are maintained to the standards of the production, and the smooth running of the production.

Essential skills include experience of working in a similar role on a large-scale production or equivalent, the ability to work under pressure, good pastoral skills, and strong administrative, organisational and interpersonal skills. Desirable skills include barbering. All candidates must be willing to tour and be available for the full contract.
Rehearsals in London from 20 July 2026
Technical rehearsals in week commencing 17 August 2026 (Milton Keynes)
Performances from week commencing 24 August, prior to weekly touring in the UK and Ireland. Tour expected to continue until July 2027
