The Wigs/Wardrobe Swing will support the Wardrobe and WHAM teams for a first-class production with duties including but not limited to: -Work closely with dressers, wig staff, performers and Stage Management to support the Production's Wardrobe and Wigs operations as instructed and dictated by the artistic requirements of the Production. -Preparation and maintenance of all costumes, wigs and equipment required, including resetting and pre-show checks. -Maintain detailed knowledge of and execute backstage tracks for both dressing and wigs, including quick changes. -Performing laundry duties including washing, ironing and minor repairs where needed. -Attending all rehearsals, show calls, maintenance calls, get-ins, fit-ups and get-outs as required, including emergency calls where needed. -Having an awareness of understudy and swing performances ahead of each show and making necessary adjustments, if any. -Experience in the Wardrobe and/or WHAM department of a large-scale commercial theatre production is preferred. -Strong practical skills in both wardrobe and wigs/hair, including wig styling experience and basic sewing and repair skills, with the ability to move confidently between the two disciplines. -Self-motivated problem-solving attitude and calm work under pressure -Excellent communication skills and cross-departmental collaboration in a fast-paced environment. -Excellent punctuality and time management. -Familiarity with and adherence to current Health & Safety guidelines relevant to the production is essential, which may include working at height, using appropriate safety equipment and clothing and attending training as deemed necessary.
