Job Summary

In response to significant demand every year for young people to gain work experience at Raw Material, we are looking for an experienced project manager or facilitator.

Job Description

  • Develop a week-long structured course for small groups of young people aged 16-19 which covers suitable aspects of work experience in a cultural and community setting (such as Raw Material)

  • Facilitate 2 small groups of young people on the course over a 2 week period (one group per week) in the summer holidays

  • Co-design and develop a week-long work experience programme for small groups of young people 16-19 based at Raw Material which can be used this year and in future years.

  • Support recruitment and consultation with young people prior to the course to capture areas of desired development.

  • Lead and facilitate 2 groups of young people through the course.

Salary Information

Total Fee: £2110 Hours

Dates:

15 hours pre-programme coordination (prep/planning time paid @ £20 ph)

10 days course delivery/facilitation (£175 per day)

10am - 6pm 28th July - 1st August

10am - 6pm 4th August - 8th August

3 hours post-programme coordination (£20 ph)

Job Requirements

To co-design and develop a week-long work experience programme for small groups of young people 16-19 based at Raw Material which can be used this year and in future years.

To support recruitment and consultation with young people prior to the course to capture areas of desired development.

To lead and facilitate 2 groups of young people through the course.

Job Responsibilities

Editing existing content for our social media channels (particularly youth-focused/ on our Tik Tok channel)

On street supervised flyering for our Autumn programmes

Helping set up and prepare our spaces for events and bookings going on that week

Analysing our website and communications to see if they could be improved for young people's understanding

Administration support - understanding data collection/analysis, coordinating scheduled activity.

Personal Development Support - an afternoon session on LinkedIn, Cover Letter Writing and Job Sites.

Any requirements which come from the young people's schools/colleges
