Workshop Facilitator, Modus Arts

Description

Job Summary

Modus Arts are recruiting for a new facilitator to deliver SoundHoppers – a sound exploration and deep-listening workshop for children aged 5 – 11 years.

Job Description

SoundHoppers encourages attentive deep listening through gamified listening exercises that explore various aspects of sound - whether that's proximity (i.e. how far or close a sound is) or timbre (i.e. the tonality and type of sound), or volume (i.e. how loud or quiet a sound is).

Children are given access to soundboxes, transducers and other sound-generating devices to explore how sound travels through various materials and objects.

All sessions are accessible for children on the autism spectrum.

Modus Arts are expanding our facilitation team for SoundHoppers. The facilitator will deliver sound exploration workshops for children aged 5 - 11 years and their parents / guardians, across the North West of England.

The facilitator will be trained to deliver the SoundHoppers workshop programme, which has been developed over 10 years by Modus Arts. At present, there will be opportunities to deliver at least 1 workshop per quarter - we hope to work with the facilitator to book more regular workshops in the North West.

Rate of Pay

£35 / hour at 3 hours per session, totalling £105 per session.

Sessions are normally 2 hours of delivery + set up / pack down of 1 hour.

This is a freelance position.
