Job Summary

We are looking for tutors who can teach sessions in yoga, pilates and dance for young people aged 16-25 of differing abilities. We are open to differing dance styles as long as it caters to beginners.

Please note- You can apply if you only have skills to teach one discipline but if you have skills to teach multiple disciplines please be clear on your application form which sessions you are qualified to teach/ are interested in applying for.

You would teach 2 x 1 hour sessions a week to beginners; one session would be for open for young people aged 16-25 and one session would be for SEN young people aged 16-25 with profound and complex additional needs.

The aim of these sessions is to give free access to weekly physical activity in a space young people are familiar with and to increase their physical health as well as supporting their mental health and wellbeing.

Agreed fee for the Freelancer is £35 per hour session + £35 planning fee per week (working out to £105 per week for two 1 hour sessions)

Sessions will happen in our dance studio within The Warren which has a capacity for 12 participants max.

Job Requirements

For Yoga and Pilates, you must:

Have a qualification that enables you to teach your discipline (For example Level Three in Teaching Yoga)

For Dance, you must:

Have experience in teaching and performing dance and/or a qualification to teach your dance style.

Every candidate must:

Be available to deliver 2 x 1 hour sessions a week for 6 months running from 20th October 2025 and 17th April 2026. These sessions must run at The Warren Youth Project's dance studio space. One session will be with SEN young people and one session will be an open session for any young people aged 16-25.

Job Responsibilities

Plan and facilitate engaging sessions that allow young people to build their confidence in exercising and support their physical and mental health whilst adhering to our ethos.

Have or be willing to undergo a DBS check.

Be registered as self-employed and be responsible for your own tax contributions.

Ideally:

Have experience facilitating work with young people.

Work in an adaptable and flexible way.

In addition to delivering these sessions you will:

Be responsible for keeping registers of who attends your sessions and pass this

information on weekly to our Creative Manager.

Abide by The Warren's ethos and work in a person-centred way.
