Jacksons Lane is seeking five young actors aged 16-25 who live, work, or study in Haringey to take part in a filmed project celebrating the political legacy of Nicky Gavron. Gavron was a prominent London politician and campaigner whose work in planning, sustainability, and cultural policy has had a lasting influence on the city. She was also one of the founders of Jacksons Lane Arts Centre. Her estate has commissioned this project to record 5 political speeches that Gavron delivered herself, by 5 young actors. Applicants do not need to be professional actors, but you must feel confident in delivering speeches to camera. We are looking for strong, expressive performers with a genuine interest in politics, public life, or social issues, as you will be working with one of Gavron's speeches from the archive. Eligibility - Aged 16-25 Fees Introductory workshop: £75 (2 hours) Total fee: £425 If cast, you will be requited to attend an introductory workshop, 3 hour long rehearsals and a shoot. All will be taking place at Jacksons Lane. Some independent preparation may be required.
