Job Summary

The Youth Academy Lead is a key role within Eloquent Dance, sitting at the centre of delivery across the organisation. The role is responsible for coordinating, planning and facilitating academy and class timetables, event organisation, operational support, and parent liaison.

Job Description

Eloquent Dance is a multi award-winning, Queen's Award recognised organisation that has spent over a decade using dance, creativity, and community to empower young people, amplify underrepresented voices, and create real pathways into the arts - from our Academy and schools programmes through to professional opportunities.

As we enter an exciting new phase of growth, including the planned launch of Eloquent College, we're looking for a Youth Academy Co-ordinator to sit at the heart of our academy delivery.

This is a role for someone who thrives on building genuine relationships, finds joy in the day-to-day, and takes real pride in keeping things running smoothly. Working closely with the Executive Support Lead and Artistic Director you'll be the first point of contact for parents, carers, and students managing communications, enrolment, timetables, and progress reporting. You'll be the person who holds the academy together, the connective thread between students, families, staff, and the wider community.

You'll coordinate events from termly showcases to external competitions, handling all logistics end-to-end. You'll manage our social media presence, support budget and income tracking, build lasting community partnerships, coordinate student recognition and achievements, and uphold safeguarding and health and safety standards across all activity.

This role includes Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with some evening and weekend working as part of the normal pattern.

What We Offer
-£29,250 pro rated (17hrs at £29,250 pro rated is £13,260)
-25 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata)
-3 additional wellbeing days (pro rata)
-Funding towards external training and professional development
-Hybrid working on some days (not inc Saturday)
-TOIL

This is an opportunity to join a growing, ambitious organisation at a pivotal moment.

Job Requirements

We're looking for someone with great relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of audiences. You'll bring excellent organisational ability, strong written and verbal communication, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritise efficiently.

You'll have strong operational and financial experience, including budget tracking and income management, alongside proven experience of safeguarding. Experience managing social media platforms is essential. Ideally you'll have worked within a dance, performing arts, or community arts organisation, and have familiarity with youth or education programme delivery. Experience in a CIC, charity, or grant-funded environment and knowledge of the Birmingham and West Midlands arts landscape are a bonus.

Above all, you are proactive, solutions-focused, and genuinely motivated by the power of dance to create meaningful impact in communities.

Job Responsibilities

Support budget planning, event ticketing, merchandise pre-orders, and income tracking for Youth Academy programmes. Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, carers, and students, maintaining professional communication via email, newsletters, and the BAND app, managing enrolment, schedules, and progress reporting.

Liaise with the Artistic Director to coordinate events including showcases, competitions, and community performances, handling all logistics from venue bookings and risk assessments to on-the-day delivery. Manage Eloquent Dance Youth's Instagram and BAND group, creating and curating content from classes, rehearsals, and performances.

Build relationships with dance academies, schools, and youth organisations for collaborations and exchanges. Manage registers, attendance, and student progress tracking, coordinate awards and recognition, support safeguarding policy implementation, and monitor health and safety across all events and rehearsals.
