Longfield Hall is seeking a reliable and proactive Building Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of events, manage the bar, and maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all users. This is a hands-on, front-facing role requiring excellent communication skills, initiative, and a strong attention to detail. This is a part-time role with at 24 hours per month Responsibilities include: Overseeing events and ensuring everything runs smoothly Managing the bar and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards Ensuring the building is secure and maintained Providing excellent customer service to all hall users If you're proactive, reliable, and enjoy working in a busy, varied environment, we'd love to hear from you! Essential Experience supervising events or similar building-based work. Confident working independently and using initiative. Reliable and punctual with strong communication skills. Able to manage a bar and handle payments. Available to work evenings and weekends as needed. Desirable First Aid and/or Fire Warden training. Personal license holder (alcohol sales). Local knowledge of the Myatt's Fields/Camberwell area. Basic tech proficiency (e.g Wi-Fi setup, AV equipment, card readers, or troubleshooting projectors/speakers). Event & Building Supervision Open and close the building for bookings and events. Act as the first point of contact for hirers and visitors. Set up rooms as required (e.g. chairs, tables, equipment). Ensure health & safety procedures are followed, including emergency evacuation if needed.
