Job Summary

We are looking for event managers to work at our vintage furniture and fashion fairs around London. We operate both indoor and outdoor markets across the city, with locations including: Camden, Chelsea, Hyde Park and East London. We are looking for managers to run on the day event operations.

Job Description

Judy's Vintage - Event Manager

Contract type: Freelance, weekend work ( regular as we have events most weekends)
Hours: 7/7.30am- 5.30/6pm
Location: London ( we have other events in England so willingness to sometimes travel would be great)
Rate: £17 p/h

Responsible for overseeing all operational requirements on event days, including liaison with venues, staff, and traders. Key responsibilities include:

Acting as a representative of Judy's Vintage at all times
Setting up and marking out the venue in accordance with the floor plan
Assisting with event set-up and pack-down, including occasional traffic management where required
Adapting operations to venue requirements for both indoor and outdoor markets
Managing event staff on the day, including overseeing welfare, break schedules, and task allocation
Providing effective people management and maintaining clear communication across teams
Assisting staff with ticketing and customer entry processes
Acting as the main point of contact between staff, customers, traders, and venue management
Coordinating with traders and venue teams to ensure the smooth running of the event
Responding efficiently to operational issues and maintaining high event standards

Job Requirements

Judy's Vintage - Event Manager

Strong organisational and operational management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Confident in managing staff and coordinating teams in a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt quickly and problem-solve under pressure
Comfortable working both indoor and outdoor events in varying conditions
Ability to manage people effectively and maintain a positive working environment
Reliable, proactive, and professional in representing the company
Previous event or market management experience preferred
Willingness to assist with physical set-up and pack-down duties when required
