Job Description

Purpose of the role:

  • To manage all bookings across Proposition's venues and gallery spaces - both in-house and external - including live performances, exhibitions, events, corporate functions, dinners, film and photo shoots etc
  • To provide outstanding customer service and deliver an outstanding customer experience to Propositions clients, in order to maximise revenue and repeat bookings
  • To proactively capture client and audience data and insight, including through booking surveys and event feedback forms, to inform and improve our offering
  • To act as a 'Host' for Proposition's venue and co-working space and brand representative, positively reflecting Proposition's mission, vision and values

Direct reports: Freelance events staff, including security and other contractors

Line manager: Managing Director

Key relationships: Managing Director, Head of Marketing, Business Development Manager, Facilities Manager, Studio Team, Concierge, Clients and stakeholders.

About you:

Hours: Full time, on site presence required

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

Benefits: NEST pension, 30 days paid holiday

Location: Bethnal Green (subject to change)

Job Requirements

You will need excellent communication, inter-personal and organisational skills. A proactive approach, a passion for delivering high quality events and developing meaningful working relationships with clients.

You will possess strong problem-solving abilities, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced creative environment, and be confident liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Essential:

  • Proven experience in venue management, event hosting, or a similar role
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to venues and events
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills
  • The ability to successfully manage people and budgets, as well as external contractors and suppliers
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of capturing audience/visitor feedback and effective reporting

Job Responsibilities

  • To manage all bookings across Proposition's venues and gallery spaces - both in-house and external - including live performances, exhibitions, events, corporate functions, dinners, film and photo shoots etc
  • To provide outstanding customer service and deliver an outstanding customer experience to Propositions clients, in order to maximise revenue and repeat bookings
  • To proactively capture client and audience data and insight, including through booking surveys and event feedback forms, to inform and improve our offering
  • To act as a 'Host' for Proposition's venue and co-working space and brand representative, positively reflecting Proposition's mission, vision and values
  • Attend events and managing on-site team; working with a deputy or duty manager when agreed
  • Act as the day-to-day contact for clients to help resolve issues, answering questions and provide a high standard of customer service
