You will have extensive experience delivering live events and managing clients, contractors, budgets, and technical resources. Strong hands-on knowledge of AV, lighting, sound, hybrid/virtual conferencing platforms, and health & safety is required. Experience in customer-focused environments and an interest in theatre are highly desirable. In this key role, you will manage and coordinate all technical operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, high-quality event delivery, and safe working practices. You will lead a team of Technical Managers, technicians, freelancers, and casual staff, acting as the primary technical contact for clients throughout the planning and delivery process. Working closely with the Sales & Events Office and the Hospitality Operations Manager, you will oversee technical scheduling, budgeting, equipment management, resource planning, and the safe set-up, running, and de-rig of events. You will also advise on technical elements during sales and planning stages, support cross-departmental communication, and drive efficiency and profitability through innovation, effective resource use, and the up-selling of technical services.
