The contractor will have overall responsibility for coordinating the community engagement activity for the project including volunteering. The contractor will be based at both St Peter's Church and their home base. The contract duration is from January/February 2025 to the end of the project 31st Oct 2026. The role will provide a minimum of 85 days during the project with the pattern of work subject to negotiation. The daily rate will be £300 per day up to a maximum fee of £25,500 (excluding VAT if applicable). The fee should include all expenses such as travel. Materials and equipment for delivering the various activities has been accounted for within the project budget. This role requires flexibility, and it will be necessary to work some weekends and evenings. A suitable qualification in a relevant area such as heritage/arts/education OR community development with at least two years' experience of working in a relevant sector area. Knowledge of arts or heritage sector project management, learning, interpretation, volunteering and access issues. Experience of Effective interpersonal, networking, communication, and presentational skills. Ability to take the initiative, identify priorities and plan activities. An understanding of the challenges of working within historic and religious buildings. Understanding of financial management Enthusiastic, approachable and confident.
