Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and organised Marketing Assistant to support the delivery of marketing and communications activity across the Cultural Services team.

Job Description

The role has a strong focus on digital channels, including website and social media, alongside providing on site marketing support for cultural venues and events.

This is a varied, hands on role, ideal for someone with a keen interest in arts, culture, and audience engagement.

Hours: 22.2 hours per week.

Working Pattern: 3 days a week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £29,540 - £32,061 per annum (City Pay Band 3), pro rata for part time.

Location: This is flexible - working in Cambridge on site or at one of our offices or working from home. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly.

Job Requirements

We're looking for someone with previous experience working with digital content management systems and sharing content on digital channels, who is familiar with social media and email marketing. Previous experience in an arts context would be beneficial.

Job Responsibilities

1. Monitor and update the Cultural Services web platforms, creating new events, keeping information up to date, and escalating quality assurance issues.
2. Distribute content on digital channels (website, social media, email) and monitor response in accordance with agreed procedures.
3. Working closely with the Box Office team, providing support and training, monitor sales of memberships and merchandise and support as needed.
4. Provide on-site support for Cultural Services events and venues, supporting general marketing and sponsorship activity.
5. Assist with proofing marketing materials, including posters and leaflets, brochures, info packs, programme books, and other materials as reasonably required.
6. Contribute to the digital communication strategy and provide support to the Manager monitoring effectiveness and
producing update reports.
7. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and Officers to support with the preparation of press related events, press releases etc.
