Preston City Council's Cultural Service now has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Marketing Assistant with excellent stage technical skills and experience.

As Marketing Assistant, you will work with the General Manager and Marketing Consultant to deliver the marketing assets across the programme. The marketing approach will be multi-channeled using print, web, social, and digital media. You will be the main point of contact for visiting shows to agree their marketing requirements and promote the show for sale. The role will include marketing within the venue and externally, ensuring a wider local reach for the promotion of the venue.

Job Requirements

Support the daily maintenance and development of Guild Lounge social media, promoting news, events and digital activity. Engage with the public and lead content planning and scheduling. Update and amend website content and assist with e newsletter production. Create and implement marketing plans for shows and venue priorities, contributing to audience engagement and marketing strategy. Produce engaging content and basic designs for promotional use and liaise with the Council's Print Unit on posters, leaflets and online materials. Assist with venue branding and presentation, contribute to the seasonal programme and respond to press enquiries, preparing quotes for approval. Attend launches and events to capture content or provide live support. Collate information for press releases and support administrative tasks for the Marketing Team, contributing to community focused marketing activity.

Job Responsibilities

Lead delivery of the Guild Lounge marketing plan with the General Manager and consultant. Implement marketing and communications strategies to reach target audiences, including Out of Home campaigns. Strengthen digital presence and share information with partners to widen reach. Manage city wide promotional campaigns and work with promoters to boost engagement. Maintain regular contact with shows, partners and stakeholders, and manage e newsletters and contact databases. Support stakeholder relationship development and assist with budget admin. Create engaging marketing content for web, social media and print. Work with press contacts to secure positive coverage, prepare releases and respond to enquiries. Manage presentation of marketing materials across venues, ensuring they meet brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
